If you don't know what Diwali is, you must be from outer space. JK, don't be offended, I'll explain it to you.

Diwali is a Hindu festival also known as the Festival of Lights. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. It's typically celebrated over five days, and people light up their homes with candles and diyas (oil lamps), decorate with rangolis (colored sand art), exchange gifts, and indulge in delicious food.

But let's be real, the best part about Diwali is the FOOD.

Speaking of food, did you know that some people fast on the first day of Diwali? It's called Dhanteras and it's believed to bring good luck and prosperity. But let's be real again, I would rather stuff my face with samosas and gulab jamuns than fast.

Another thing people do during Diwali is exchange gifts with their loved ones. My favorite part of giving gifts is wrapping them up in pretty wrapping paper and watching people struggle to unwrap them. Am I a bad person? Maybe. Do I care? Nope.

Oh, and another tradition during Diwali is lighting fireworks. This is where the Festival of Lights part really comes into play. But let's be responsible, people. Safety first! Don't set yourself on fire or anything.

Now you might be wondering, "Okay, how do I celebrate Diwali? Give me some tips, funny person!" Don't worry, I got you.

How to Celebrate Diwali:

  1. Light diyas or candles around your home to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  2. Make or buy traditional Indian sweets like rasgullas, barfis, and laddoos.
  3. Decorate your home with rangolis or flower petals.
  4. Go shopping for new clothes or accessories, because looking fly is important.
  5. Exchange gifts with your loved ones, even if it's just a small token of appreciation.
  6. Attend a Diwali festival or event in your city.
  7. Light some sparklers or fireworks, but be safe and responsible.
  8. Enjoy some delicious food with your family and friends!

And there you have it, folks! Those are my Diwali tips for you.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go indulge in some gulab jamuns. Happy Diwali!
